The great state of Texas is ripe with camping opportunities through its state park system. We at Dependable Camper Rental of Austin, TX have compiled a list of campgrounds for our RV rental customers, but how do you know which park to pick? To help you out, we are dedicating a few posts to go into more detail about area campgrounds and state parks. We’ll begin with Choke Canyon State Park.

Choke Canyon State Park is located in Calliham, TX—about a 2.5-hour drive from Austin, TX and almost directly south of San Antonio.
